Established in 2008, New Masters Studio was founded by Leza Lidow, a world-renowned painter and multi-media artist. In 2005, Leza decided to begin "painting" in a new medium and so began writing and directing her own series of short art films. Starting work in studios around Los Angeles, in 2008 Leza moved her films to the studio's current location, a family-owned building which at the time was a former machine shop. Leza opened the studio up for filming to other artists soon after. Leza has made 21 art films to date and is currently in development on film number 22.
